In short, therapy helps us figure shit out. It is a unique, completely private relationship with another human being (who just happens to be trained in mental health and geeks out on human connection) in which you get to examine what IS working in your life and what is NOT.
Therapy addresses the barriers that are holding us back from living our best life. This can be unconscious beliefs, trauma reactions, blurry boundaries or something else unique to your situation.
These patterns show up in our lives in tricky ways. Perhaps, you are plagued by anxiety or you keep fiding yourself in relationships that are similar and painful. Maybe you are estranged from a family member or maybe you can't seem to get away from them! That secret self-sabotaging thing you do... this is the place to courageously look at that.
The truth is, pain is most often what brings us to seek therapy out. We have tried everything we know how to do... and still we are stuck, we are hurting, disconnected, and we can't figure out how to move forward.
