When disaster strikes, it is all boots on the ground!
With disasters becoming more frequent, it is no longer a matter of IF but WHEN will you be called into service.
However, Disaster Mental Health requires a different skill set than traditional talk therapy. And unfortunately, without training, a well-meaning provider can create unintentional harm in those they meant to heal.
Being well trained and prepared ahead of a catastrophic event allows you to respond quickly, efficiently, and safely.
(You may even find you have an undiscovered passion
for this type of tough gritty work!)
Chris Rinaldi provides relevant, practical, and comprehensive training for groups of community members and helping professionals who would like to learn the art of offering stabilization and resilience-building services to disaster survivors.
She is available to do trainings before and throughout the recovery period of a catastrophic event.
" Resilient organizations are composed of resilient people"
-- Harvard Business Review
We think our organizations are prepared. We think our people are prepared. And then disaster strikes and we find ourselves swimming in unprecedented waters.
Much to our chagrin, we discover our teams are not functioning as well as we thought they would, the resources and plans we had so carefully laid out are falling short and individually, we feel isolated, confused and crushed by the weight of it all.
Resilience Following Disaster is a workshop curated to your unique organization. It is designed to cultivate resilience and a similar knowledge base throughout your whole team- from leadership to supporting staff and everyone in between.
Resilience Following Disaster provides a clear framework for what recovery timelines actually look like, and relatable information about how a disaster impacts indivdual humans and the community at large.
Most importantly, this dynamic workshop is chock full of practical, effective and easily implementable skills to help cultivate connection, increase capacity and create stability in attendees. These are the building blocks that create long term resiliency in your organization as a whole.
So you may focus on what really matters-
Building back even stronger than before.
You might be struggling with making sense of what has happened to you and your community. Experiencing a disaster is disorienting, frightening and can leave residual impacts that hinder you from moving towards recovery.
Chris brings a unique blend of hands on experience, sensitivity and skill to provide direct support and trauma release to those who have lived through any catastrophic event in their own lives or within their community.
She uses an integrative blend of multiple modalities to soothe and support the nervous system, increasing capacity, releasing trapped trauma, and building long term resiliency.
